THANKS stands for "To Honor, Acknowledge and Note Kindness and Service."

Here is how the THANKS Star Program works:

1. Completed THANKS form is sent to UCSF Medical Center.
2. Acknowledgement is sent to manager along with the original THANKS form and an embroidered star.
3. THANKS form and embroidered star is presented to individual.
4. A hundred THANKS "SuperStars" will be selected and acknowledged at the UCSF Medical Center Annual Honors and Awards Celebration.
