Celebrating 500 Heart & Lung Transplants

Join the UCSF Heart and Lung Transplant Program at the Campton Place Hotel in San Francisco to celebrate its 500th thoracic transplant and benefit its Patient and Family Fund. This fund was established to help patients who can't afford costs after surgery. Patients are required to live within an hour of the hospital with a caretaker for four to six weeks. These costs may include hotel, food and transportation.

Three UCSF doctors will be honored — Dr. Teresa De Marco, medical director of Heart Transplantation; Dr. Jeffrey Golden, medical director of Lung Transplantation; and Dr. Charles Hoopes, director of Heart and Lung Transplants.
