Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network and UCSF will be hosting "Understanding Bladder Cancer," a patient forum with presentations by a panel of health care professionals who specialize in bladder cancer. The forum will have complete overview of the disease with information on the following topics:

  • Bladder Cancer Basics
  • Detection and Diagnosis of Bladder Cancer
  • New and Promising Bladder Cancer Research
  • Intravesical Therapy — When, with What, and When to Stop
  • Surgery and Urinary Diversion for Muscle-Invasive Bladder Cancer
  • Chemotherapy — When Is It Indicated and Why It Is Not Used More
Following the panel discussion there will be a Q & A session and lunch; ending with an Interactive Discussion.
