UCSF Medical Center has a single phone number that serves as the gateway for all inpatient services provided by UCSF Children's Hospital and the Center for Mothers and Newborns. The toll-free number makes it easier to refer, transport and admit patients to UCSF Children's Hospital.

A directory of UCSF clinical trials is available via the National Institutes of Health database. Information about research in general is available on the UCSF School of Medicine site. Information about cancer research is available on the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center site.
