Treatment
Treatment In most cases, the arthritis improves dramatically when the underlying inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is treated.
Treatment may consist of the following
- A modified diet
- Exercise
- Surgery
- Drug therapy
Possible medications include corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, sulfasalazine and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
