Jennifer Gans, clinical psychologist

Jennifer Gans is a psychologist at the UCSF Douglas Grant Cochlear Implant Center. She uses assessment and therapeutic intervention to prepare both adults and children for the cochlear implant process. Gans is fluent in American Sign Language and has extensive experience living and working in the deaf community.

Gans received a M.S. degree in Deaf Education from Gallaudet University and a doctorate in psychology from Argosy University in Atlanta, Ga. She is also a lead investigator in research looking at patients' perception of benefits from psychological services offered at the UCSF Cochlear Implant Center.
