Research
Our patients have the opportunity to participate in research, called clinical trials, that make new medications, treatments and surgical procedures available before they're distributed to the general public.
Information about clinical trials for colorectal cancer can be found at www.ucsfhealth.org/clinicaltrials or on the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center Web site.
UCSF also has a Clinical Colorectal Cancer Research Program that identifies the historical, environmental, dietary and genetic factors as well as the biological markers of patients at a high-risk of developing colorectal cancer.
