Cyndy Hayashi, radiology technologist

Cyndy Hayashi is the principal technologist and clinical manager at the Center for Osteoporosis and Bone Health. She is a certified radiology technologist and has over 20 years of experience with bone imaging. She performs all the bone density tests at the center.

Wendy Katzman, physical therapist

Physical therapist Wendy Katzman is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist, with a special clinical interest in treating the musculoskeletal effects of osteoporosis with exercise. She is a clinical Instructor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehab Science at UCSF. She also is the vice-president of the American Physical Therapy Association's Geriatric Section Special Interest Group on Osteoporosis and lectures extensively to professional and community audiences on physical therapy management of osteoporosis.

Bernard Smith, administrative assistant

Bernard Smith takes care of all scheduling and insurance matters at the Osteoporosis Center. He also makes sure that bone density test results are sent to your doctor and put into the UCSF lab computer.
