Kidney Transplant

Our Experts

The kidney transplant staff at UCSF Medical Center is among the most knowledgeable in the world. Our kidney specialists are researchers, who have made major advances in transplant knowledge, as well as experienced surgeons, who have cared for hundreds of children and adults.

Our team includes surgeons and kidney specialists aided by other staff. In addition to performing the transplant, this group provides the pre- and post-transplant care. The team also includes experienced nurse coordinators, each with a specific area of responsibility in coordinating transplant patient care.
