The Hand Microsurgery Laboratory performs research on common conditions and diseases that affect hand function, as well as tests and develops new treatments. State-of-the-art technology is available for mechanical testing, computer simulation, imaging and tissue analysis, both macroscopic and microscopic. It also trains hand surgeons, orthopedic surgeons and other health professionals in microsurgical techniques.
