Infertility Treatment Financing Options
At the UCSF Center for Reproductive Health, we realize that the process of resolving infertility can be difficult for many people, and the financial aspects of
treatment can be especially daunting. Our goal is to minimize any confusion or frustration by providing as much information and assistance as possible. We tailor each treatment plan to the individual patient, which helps contain costs and ensures that unnecessary tests and procedures are avoided.
The UCSF Fertility Group works with several major insurance carriers, and our financial consultants can help you determine if your health plan offers any benefits that might cover some or all of the costs of your care. Call (415) 476-2224 and ask for an insurance consultation if you have questions.
Unfortunately, many HMOs and insurance plans in California do not cover in vitro fertilization (IVF). For our IVF patients without insurance coverage, we offer several financial options to help you finance your care. We offer a fee-for-service option where patients can pay out-of-pocket for the services they receive. A typical
IVF cycle costs around $8100 and includes monitoring and consultation, blood tests, anesthesia, egg retrieval and embryo transfer.
Please call our office (415) 476-2224 and ask to speak with our IVF billing coordinator if you have further questions or would like additional information.
To make it easier for our patients, we have also established a relationship with Advanced Reproductive Care Inc. (ARC) to offer patients several additional options to help pay for their care. Through the ARC Family Building Program, UCSF Fertility Group patients may finance various services at a pre-determined package price. These package programs make the costs of care more predictable and can reduce the stress of determining how to pay for treatment. Low interest loans are also available.
ARC offers several service packages for patients to choose from including one, two and three cycle IVF options. For patients choosing the three-cycle option, there is also a Refund Program that offers a money-back guarantee to you for the funds you have spent for clinical services should you not have a baby at the end of your fertility care.
Application forms for these programs are available at the UCSF Fertility Group. Feel free to contact us for more information or call the ARC Clinical Specialist directly at (800) 990-2727.
