Nurses Sarah Dumke, nurse practitionerSarah Dumke, a family nurse practitioner with the UCSF Womens Health Center, specializes in primary care health and wellness. She has been practicing as a family nurse practitioner since 2000. Prior to joining the Womens Health Center, she worked as a nurse practitioner at UCSFs Cancer Center. She is a fluent Spanish speaker. Dumke earned her nursing degree from the Columbia University Nursing School.
Evelyn Hanson, nurse practitionerEvelyn Hanson has over 15 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. At the UCSF Women's Health Center, she works in collaboration with gynecologists to provide general gynecological care. She also is a member of the nursing team at the UCSF Dysplasia Clinic, where she specializes in human papilloma virus and dysplasia. Hanson earned an undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Virginia. Subsequently, she completed the UCSF graduate Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program.
Naomi Jay, nurse practitionerNaomi Jay is a nurse practitioner in the UCSF Dysplasia Clinic. She specializes in the detection and diagnosis of human papillomavirus (HPV) in the anal canal and also helped pioneer the use of the diagnostic tool, colposcope, for HPV-related diseases. Jay also participates in HPV-related research, including the natural history of HPV-related anal disease in men and women, treatment studies using vaccines, infrared coagulation, DFMO and traditional Chinese medicine as well as cervical HPV clinical studies of adolescents and young women. Jay completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Subsequently, she earned her graduate degree in nursing, specializing in womens health, at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professionals. Carolyn Muir, nurse practitionerCarolyn Muir is a nurse practitioner at UCSF Women's Health Center. She specializes in women's health, adolescent health and patient education. She believes in practicing a multidisciplinary approach to care, and involving patients in their own health care and providing them with education to make informed decisions. Muir earned a nursing degree and nurse practitioner certification in womens health and family medicine at UCSF. She is an assistant clinical professor at UCSF's School of Nursing.
