Executive Medical Assessment

The Executive Medical Assessment at UCSF Medical Center is a comprehensive medical exam for men and women. The entire examination and analysis of test results are completed in just one day. You receive specific recommendations for further care, if necessary, and personalized guidelines on how to maintain and improve your health.

  • A personal escort greets you and ensures that your visit goes smoothly.
  • Basic tests are completed within four to five hours.
  • The visit culminates in a physical examination and consultation with a general internist who reviews test results with you and develops a plan to treat or prevent health problems.
  • You receive suggestions and individualized guidelines to maintain optimal health.

Comprehensive Assessment

Your comprehensive Baseline Assessment includes a step-by-step program to assess and improve your health, including a series of diagnostic tests and evaluations. These services also are available to spouses and partners.

A medical questionnaire is sent to you before your visit and will be used by the doctor who conducts your assessment.

The Baseline Assessment — which costs $2,500, payable in full prior to your assessment — includes the following services:

  • Review of past health records
  • Diagnostic tests including:
    • Chest X-ray
    • Cholesterol screening
    • Complete blood count
    • Electrocardiogram
    • Liver and kidney function tests
    • Mammogram and gynecological exam, including Pap test, for women
    • Prostate screening for men
    • Treadmill stress test
    • Urinalysis
  • Evaluation by a general internist
  • Guidelines for health improvement
  • Nutritional assessment or vision exam
  • Written report of your exam with results to follow

At the conclusion of your consultation, our staff is available to help schedule appointments if other services are needed. Additional tests may be recommended, separate from the Baseline Assessment. These tests may be billed to your insurance. They include:

  • Audiogram
  • Bone density test
  • Flexible sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy
  • Other specialty referrals, as needed

Ongoing Health Improvement

Patients receive recommendations and support to establish healthier living habits through a program including:

  • Health and maintenance tips based on your examination results
  • Diet, fitness and stress-reduction guidelines tailored to your individual condition
