Women's Health Resource Center
Our mission is to support women and their families in making informed decisions about women's health and to encourage them to become active partners in their care.
The UCSF Women's Health Resource Center strives to:
- Increase women's access to information about all aspects of their health
- Provide excellence in the quality and variety of education available for women and their families
- Encourage and create participatory, women-sensitive health education programming
- Offer women a centralized resource for community and health care provider referrals specific to their needs
We are committed to providing free information, health recommendations and an empathetic ear regarding all women's health issues. We are proud to be the patient and community education arm of the UCSF National Center of Excellence in Women's Health, one of 15 such centers nationwide designated by the U.S. Office of Women's Health as a model of women's health care delivery.

If you have a specific question or would like to learn more about a particular health topic, call or stop by the Women's Health Resource Center and our staff will put a packet of information together for you.
Community Resources
The Women's Health Resource Center has relationships with many organizations and special groups in the Greater Bay Area that provide learning opportunities, assistance and resources to help meet women's health needs. We maintain a community resources database with information on topics such as adoption, breast cancer, incontinence, mental health, nutrition, osteoporosis, pregnancy and violence prevention.
Provider Referrals
UCSF Women's Health provides a complete array of services for women including primary care, obstetrics and gynecology. We work closely with a network of specialty services focused on the unique health needs of women. The resource center staff can help you find a provider to meet your health care needs.
