
Psychologist
Barbara Krishna Stuart is a psychologist at UCSF's Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute's Young Adult and Family Center. She specializes in treating chronically depressed and self-harming adolescents and young adults with multiple problems. Stuart's expertise also includes early assessment and treatment of psychosis and serious mental illness. In addition, she trains and supervises community mental health professionals in evidence-based clinical assessment.
Stuart received her doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of California, Berkeley where she studied emotional functioning in psychosis. Subsequently, she completed her internship at the San Francisco VA Medical Center and a postdoctoral fellowship at UCSF.
