Beatie Lazard is a social worker who provides counseling and resources to hospitalized patients, who are undergoing cancer treatment at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. She assists patient, ranging in age from infants to young adults, and their families.
Lazard earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at Princeton University, a master's degree in health physcology education at Stanford University and a master's degree in social work at Columbia University in New York. She also completed a traineeship, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, working with children and adults with cancer at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Lazard, who became a licensed clinical social worker in 2000, is a member of the Bay Area Social Workers.
