W. Richard Webb, M.D.

Radiologist

Dr. W. Richard Webb, a radiologist, is an expert in computerized tomography (CT) of the thorax, high-resolution lung CT and other imaging for lung cancer.

Webb earned an undergraduate degree at Stanford University and a medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco. He was resident and chief resident in radiology at UCSF, completing a fellowship in chest radiology in 1976. Webb is the past president of the Society of Thoracic Radiology, has been elected to the Society of Computed Body Tomography and MRI and is editor emeritus of the Journal of Thoracic Imaging. He is a professor of radiology at the UCSF School of Medicine.
