

Neurosurgeon
Dr. Sandeep Kunwar is a neurosurgeon, with a special interest in the treatment of malignant gliomas and pituitary tumors. He earned a medical degree at UCSF, where he completed an internship and residency. As a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research scholar, he worked in the laboratory of molecular biology in the National Cancer Institute.
Among his honors are the Preuss Resident Research Award from the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons for his work on the genetics of malignant gliomas. He is an assistant professor of neurological surgery.
