

Radiosurgery specialist
Dr. David A. Larson is an internationally recognized authority on brain and body radiosurgery and intensity modified radiotherapy for treatment of central nervous system tumors. He lectures extensively and has authored more than 200 scientific papers, reviews and book chapters.
Larson is past president of the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society and American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. He has organized many national and international conferences and serves on the editorial board of numerous medical journals. He holds a Ph.D. in high-energy physics from the University of Chicago and an M.D. from the University of Miami. After completing a medical internship at UCSF and a radiation oncology residency at Harvard, he joined the UCSF Medical Center faculty, where he serves as professor in the departments of Radiation Oncology and Neurological Surgery.
