UCSF Nursing Celebrates '100 Years of Excellence' With Centennial Gala

Celebrate a century of nursing excellence and see a performance by legendary star Rita Moreno at the UCSF Nursing Centennial Gala on Saturday, June 9. The black tie optional event begins at 6 p.m. in The Grand Ballroom at San Francisco's Westin St. Francis Hotel. Proceeds benefit nursing scholarships at UCSF.

The UCSF School of Nursing consistently ranks among the nation's best and No. 1 in grants from the National Institutes of Health. The school is leading the way in nursing research, from heart disease and cancer, to pain management and healthy aging. It also cares for San Francisco's most vulnerable populations with its community clinics at Glide Memorial Church, and in the Mission and Western Addition neighborhoods.

California now ranks last in the nation in the number of nurses per capita, with a nursing shortage that has become a dire public health crisis. UCSF is uniquely suited to address this challenge. We invite you to partner with us to help develop the next generation of nursing leaders.
