A Peek Inside a BMT Patient Room

The room has a computer, stereo, Nintendo, television, VCR/DVD player, phone, mini fridge, private bathroom and extra bed or sleep chair for caregivers. It is a positive pressure environment, meaning that only highly purified (HEPA-filtered) air is allowed to enter into the room. There is also an outer room, or "anteroom," separating your child's room from the hallways where visitors are required to wash their hands before entering or leaving your child's room.
