Sharon Esker, pediatric hematology nurse

Sharon Esker is a registered nurse who specializes in the care of children with bleeding disorders. She is involved in the management of care in the clinics and hospital and is a member of the team for the federally funded Hemophilia Treatment Center. As part of her job, she provides patient and family education. Esker, who has more than 30 years of nursing expeience, earned her nursing degree at St. Anthony Hospital School of Nursing in Indiana.

Dana Francis is a social worker who specializes in working with children who have blood disorders and their families. He earned a degree in social work at the University of Washington and has been a member of the pediatric hematology team at UCSF Children's Hospital since 1988.

Patricia Tobase, physical therapist

Patricia Tobase is a physical therapist who specializes in the care of children and adults with bleeding disorders. She has been a member of the UCSF Hemophilia Treatment Center, where she provides evaluations and treatments for patients, since 1992. In addition, she provides education to patients, families and other health care providers. Tobase is board certified as an orthopedic clinical specialist and an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science at UCSF.
