Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation, an international organization supporting parents, young patients and their siblings.

Children's Oncology Group, an international organization that conducts research and provides cancer care to children and young adults at more than 235 medical centers.

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, an organization for people with leukemia, lymphoma or Hodgkin's Disease that sometimes helps with the cost of blood transfusions, drugs and transportation.

National Cancer Institute, information on childhood cancers. Information about cancer also can be obtained by calling (800) 4-CANCER.

Social Security Administration

The Social Security Administration, through the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program, provides monthly cash payments to needy families of disabled children. Children with cancer may qualify. Typically, there's a two to four month application process. Please contact your local Social Security Administration office for more information.
