Our Experts

Meeting the needs of children with cancer and of their families requires a comprehensive approach by pediatric tumor surgeons, pediatric radiation oncologists, bone marrow experts, pediatric sub-specialists and outstanding radiologists and pathologists. A team of pediatric hematology-oncology doctors, pediatric nurse practitioners, social workers and a school liaison specialist coordinate care and provide information about your child's illness and treatment.

The pediatric hematology-oncology team at UCSF Children's Hospital holds leadership roles in the Children's Oncology Group, which conducts national clinical trials or studies for children with cancer. This group, made up of more than 150 pediatric cancer centers, has been responsible for major advances in improving survival of children with cancer.
