Sickle Cell Anemia

To Visit Us

Children suffering from sickle cell anemia who require inpatient care are treated at UCSF Children's Hospital at 505 Parnassus Ave, where the seventh floor is dedicated to children's cancer and blood diseases. While in the hospital, most children have a private room with a couch that converts into a daybed for one parent. Priority for a private room is given to children with a new diagnosis or infection.

Outpatient care for children with sickle cell anemia is provided in our Pediatric Treatment Center, located on the first floor of the Ambulatory Care Center at 400 Parnassus Ave.
