Signs and Symptoms

If your baby is born with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), symptoms of the condition may include:

• Chest movements that do not coordinate with your baby's breathing rhythm
• Breath sounds absent on the affected side
• Bowel sounds heard in the chest
• Concave abdomen that feels less full when touched
