Consultation and treatment are provided at UCSF Children's Medical Center for children with urinary tract disease and kidney disease, including nephritis, nephrosis, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, disorders of calcium and phosphorus metabolism, urinary tract infection, renal stone disease and nutrition and growth disorders related to kidney disease. We also diagnose and manage patients with acute renal failure. A multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive care for infants and children with end-stage renal disease, including hemodialysis, home peritoneal dialysis and renal transplantation.
