Children's Continence Clinic
The UCSF Children's Continence Clinic training program helps children learn healthy voiding habits, achieving greater continence, and preventing urinary infections and other problems associated with incontinence. Treating incontinence depends on accurately identifying physical causes of incontinence, as well as discussing and choosing treatment options. Treatment options include education, timed voiding, voiding dictionary, behavior modification, conditioning alarm, biofeedback, hypnosis, urine flow rates, sonogram, urodynamics, and/or voiding cystourethrogram. It is important to note that most children can be evaluated and effectively treated without surgery.
