The Pediatric Treatment Center, located in the Ambulatory Care Center at 400 Parnassus Ave., is a specially designed area where outpatient chemotherapy infusions and procedures are performed in a comfortable environment. The center is staffed by nurses trained in administering of chemotherapy and hematological products. There are several private rooms, where procedures, such as spinal taps and blood draws, are performed and a larger area with four reclining infusion chairs. Each room has a TV and videocassette recorder. A play area is stocked with a variety of books, toys and videos.
