Breast cancer specialist
Dr. Christopher Benz is an oncologist or cancer specialist, whose expertise is in breast cancer treatment at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. When he joined UCSF Medical Center in 1983, he established the first basic research laboratory at UCSF that focuses solely on breast cancer. He has a particular interest in hormonal treatments for breast cancer, which he believes to be more effective with fewer side effects than other therapies.
