The UCSF Breast Care Center in Marin is part of the UCSF Helen Diller Comprehensive Cancer Center. It provides screening for early breast cancer detection; effective, less toxic treatments for breast cancer; and specialized care for patients at high risk for breast cancer. Patients are treated by Dr. Cheryl Ewing, Marin County's most experienced breast surgeon who helped develop two breast procedures — a lumpectomy with partial breast reconstruction and nipple-sparing mastectomy. Ewing, who has 20 years of experience, performs more than 250 breast surgeries a year.
The center treats the whole person, both your physical and emotional being. We provide a wide range of patient services such as individual counseling as well as support groups for patients and their families.
