The UCSF Center for Reproductive Health offers a compassionate and innovative program, staffed by an expert team from some of the top programs in the country. All our doctors have extensive experience and are board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Our expertise is complemented by a large team of professionals, including genetic counselors, psychologists, male reproductive health specialists, quality nurses and a detail-oriented office staff. In our laboratory, doctorate level embryology staff work to maximize success for all individuals and couples who undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment.
We understand that many of the decisions you have made, and those you will make, are not easy choices and are frequently accompanied by stress and ambiguity. We all share the highest standards in the delivery of care. It is our hope, and intention, to make this journey as comfortable as possible for you.
We offer a comprehensive array of infertility evaluation and treatment options for both men and women. Our services include:
When choosing a fertility provider, people often try to compare programs based on success rates. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Society for Assisted Reproduction (SART) recognize that direct comparisons between clinics may not be possible without considering the patient population and the practice. Rates may vary, for example, due to differences in the screening process prior to an IVF cycle or the number of embryos transferred. Therefore, it is not possible to compare programs in a head-to-head manner.
We do recognize, however, that individuals and couples would like the assurance that they are choosing a "successful" program. You may view our success rates at ucsfivf.org. Like all programs, we also submit our statistics yearly to the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART). You may view these statistics online.
Please keep in mind that your particular success rate may differ due to a variety of factors which may increase or decrease your chances for success. Questions regarding success rates are best discussed with your individual reproductive endocrinologist.
Depending on your health insurance, you may need a referral from a primary care doctor.
