Cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of death in the United States. Much work remains to be done in developing more effective therapies to prevent the onset of disease and to stop progression after disease has been diagnosed.
With that in mind, the UCSF Center for Prevention of Heart and Vascular Disease offers a comprehensive approach to anticipating and managing heart and artery disease, focusing on screening healthy individuals who may be at risk as well as those with existing conditions.
Personalized clinical care and attention is a hallmark of the UCSF Center for Prevention of Heart and Vascular Disease. Your evaluation consists of identifying health risk factors that may contribute to its progression. Optional nutritional, stress test consultations as well as referral to an exercise physiologist can be included.
