Intensive Care Unit at Parnassus

The UCSF Intensive Care Unit at Parnassus provides advanced care for critically ill or injured patients with complex conditions. These include acute kidney injury, end-stage and acute liver failure, severe sepsis and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, among other conditions. We also provide postoperative care for general surgery, solid organ transplant and orthopedic surgery patients.

Our highly skilled and caring team includes doctors, nurses, respiratory care practitioners, a social worker, a nutritionist and a pharmacist, all with expertise in meeting the needs of critically ill patients and their families. We have a diverse staff that reflects the many cultures of our patient population. Our supportive and collaborative team environment is essential to our success in providing excellent care to our patients and their families.
