The Lupus Clinic focuses on the evaluation and management of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), particularly moderate to severe forms of the disease. The clinic has expertise in managing lupus nephritis and other organ threatening manifestations of SLE. Doctors work closely with dermatologists and kidney specialists as well as other specialists, to collaboratively manage all aspects of this complex systemic disease.
Because lupus is a chronic disease, a large part of our efforts are devoted to educating patients and their families about their disease. The Lupus Clinic is one of 20 national centers participating in the Lupus Clinical Trials Consortium, collecting information on this challenging disease for the largest database of its kind.
