The NF/Ras Pathway Clinic provides prenatal, pediatric and adult care with comprehensive referral services to appropriate specialists in the UCSF NF/Ras Pathway Referral Network. This group consists of over 50 talented UCSF specialists who have identified themselves as having both expertise and interest in caring for individuals with Ras pathway disorders.
The NF/Ras Pathway Clinic cares for patients who need to be evaluated for or have been diagnosed with:
Most of the conditions we treat are the result from gene mutations that affect key proteins in the Ras signaling pathway. As a consequence, there is significant phenotypic (symptomatic) overlap between the conditions. Due to the multi-specialty care typically required by patients, it is easy for things to fall through the cracks. Our clinic has a proactive referral management systems to help ensure that the patient continues to receive appropriate services, and facilitates improved communications between the primary care physician, the specialty physicians and the patients themselves.
