Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are dentists who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries, defects and aesthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws and face.
Many of our oral and maxillofacial surgeons have medical degrees and general surgery training. They work in collaboration with other specialties including general surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) and ophthalmology.
