Honors and Awards

Nancy Ascher, M.D., Ph.D., received the annual Thomas E. Starzl Prize in Surgery and Immunology at ceremonies honoring Dr. Starzl's 80th birthday on March 10 at the University of Pittsburgh. Ascher, professor and chair of surgery at UCSF, is a past president of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons.
