Daphne A. Haas-Kogan, M.D.

Radiation cancer specialist

Dr. Daphne A. Haas-Kogan is a radiation oncologist and expert in the treatment of cancers in adults and children. In addition to caring for patients, she investigates the effects of radiation therapy and gene therapy on cancer tumors, in particular an often fatal brain tumor called glioblastoma multiforme. Her research has been published widely in medical and science journals.

Haas-Kogan earned a medical degree and completed a residency in radiation oncology at the University of California, San Francisco, where she served as chief resident in radiation oncology. She is the recipient of numerous awards for research and teaching. She is a professor of radiation oncology and neurological surgery and is vice chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at UCSF.
