

Executive medical director, UCSF Primary Care at Laurel Village
Dr. David Buchholz is a pediatrician and executive medical director of UCSF Primary Care at Laurel Village, a clinic that strives to make primary care more personal and accessible. Buchholz's focus is in general pediatrics and primary care, but he also is interested in the areas of allergy, asthma, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, dermatology, infectious disease, newborn and infant care, nutrition and eating patterns in infants and toddlers, orthopedics, preventive care and sports medicine.
Buchholz joined UCSF from Swedish Health Services in Seattle, Wash., where headed other primary care clinics. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois-Chicago School of Medicine and completed a residency at the University of Washington Medical Center. At UCSF, he is an associate clinical professor of medicine.
