Denise Gomolak, R.N., F.N.P.

Family nurse practitioner

Denis Gomolak is a family nurse practitioner at the UCSF Family Medicine Center at Lakeshore, Gomolak assesses, diagnoses and treats patients of all ages, with an emphasis on disease prevention, health maintenance and patient education. In caring for patients, she integrates her study of yoga, holistic health and mind-body integration.

Gomolak earned a bachelor's degree in nursing and sports medicine in 1992 at Pennsylvania State University in University Park then completed a master's degree for nurse practitioner in 2000 at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. After graduate school, she served as a National Health Service Corps scholar on a Navajo Reservation and has volunteered in India and Central America. She also completed a two-year master's degree in somatic psychology at the Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara and participated in research involving acupoint treatments at the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine. Gomolak is a member of and certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and American Holistic Nurses Association.
