

Allergy, asthma and immunology specialist
Dr. Edward J. Goetzl is an allergist and immunologist who specializes in the treatment of asthma, sinusitis and other allergic and immunological diseases, including certain forms of immune deficiency. He is director of Allergy and Immunology Research at the University of California, San Francisco, focusing on the development of new diagnostic approaches and treatments for allergic and immunological diseases.
Goetzl was the director of Allergy and Immunology at UCSF Medical Center from 1982 to 1998. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Professor of Medicine, Microbiology and Immunology in the UCSF School of Medicine.
