Athletic trainer and concussion clinic coordinator
Elise Hammond, a certified athletic trainer, is the coordinator of the Bay Area Concussion and Brain Injury Program at the UCSF Orthopaedic Institute and an athletic trainer in the UCSF PlaySafe program, working with Lincoln and O'Connell high schools in San Francisco. Prior to joining UCSF, she was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of California, Berkeley, where she worked with football, women's gymnastics, and track and field, and cross country.
Hammond earned a bachelor's degree at Oregon State Univesity in Exercise and Sport Science, with an emphasis in athletic training. She also completed minors in psychology and music.
