

Director of Sleep Surgery
Dr. Eric J. Kezirian is a head and neck surgeon and director of Sleep Surgery, specializing in surgery for sleep and sinus disorders at UCSF Medical Center. In addition to treating patients, he conducts research on surgical evaluation techniques for snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, measuring sleep surgery outcomes, new technologies in the evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, and trends in the practice of sleep surgery. His research is supported by the National Institutes of Health and research foundations.
A graduate of Harvard College, Kezirian earned a medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science at Oxford University and a Master of Public Health at the University of Washington. He completed an advanced fellowship in sleep surgery at Stanford University. Kezirian is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Surgeons, American Academy Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He is on the editorial board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and is the author of many research publications.
