Isaac Neuhaus, M.D.

Dermatologic surgeon

Dr. Isaac Neuhaus is a dermatologic surgeon at the UCSF Dermatologic Surgery and Laser Center at Mount Zion. He specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery and surgical reconstruction for skin cancer. He is an expert in laser surgery and treats a variety of vascular and pigmentary lesions. He is a member of the UCSF Birthmark and Vascular Anomalies Clinic, where he uses lasers to treat extensive vascular malformations. He also performs cosmetic procedures such as laser rejuventation of photodamaged skin, Botox, soft tissue filler injections, chemical peels, sclerotherapy and liposuction.

Neuhaus earned a medical degree at the University of Florida and completed an internship at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, a dermatology residency at UCSF where he was chief resident, and a Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology fellowship at UCSF. In his research, he studies skin cancer surgery and laser treatment. He is a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) and received an ASDS Cutting Edge Research Grant. He is past president of the California Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery and American Medical Association. He is an associate professor of dermatology at UCSF.
