
Cardiac anesthesiologist
Dr. Isobel Russell is chief of Cardiac Anesthesia at UCSF Medical Center. Her research focuses on the utility and role of transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) in cardiac patients.
Russell earned a medical degree at Tulane University in New Orleans. She completed anesthesia residency training and a fellowship in cardiac anesthesia at UCSF Medical Center. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and served on the board of the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists.
