Dr. Jeffrey S. Yablon is a neurosurgeon who sees patients in the UCSF Neurosurgery Clinic in Napa. He also is medical director of the UCSF Neurological Surgery Extension at Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa. Yablon has extensive experience treating brain and spinal cord tumors and expertise in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery, in addition to trauma neurosurgery. His areas of interest include normal pressure hydrocephalus, intracranial hemorrhagic disorders, Cyberknife radiosurgery for brain and spinal tumors and syringomyelia.
In his research, Yablon has focused on opening the blood-brain barrier for treatment of brain tumors with monoclonal antibodies. Yablon earned a medical degree at Hahnemann Medical School, part of Drexel University, in Philadelphia and completed a residency in general surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and a residency in neurosurgery at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He is an associate clinical professor of neurological surgery at UCSF.
