Nurse coordinator
Jenifer Twiford is a nurse coordinator at the UCSF Hemophilia Treatment Center. She serves as a link between the patient and the hemophilia team, arranging appointments and tests and referring patients to other experts when needed. She also facilitates ordering patient medications and helps arrange care around surgeries or procedures.
Twiford earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing at the University of San Francisco in 1987. Since graduation, she has worked at UCSF in a variety of nursing roles including in the cardiology hospital unit and cardiovascular intensive care unit as well as in clinical research in the Department of Anesthesia.
