Research assistant
Joan Chen is a research assistant currently working on a long-term quality of life study for patients undergoing lung transplant, with Dr. Jonathan Singer, and assists with various clinical research projects in the Interstitial Lung Disease Program. Chen holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees, in integrative biology and in cultural anthropology, from the University of California, Berkeley. She is interested in nursing and qualitative clinical research, and hopes to work to improve the patient experience.
