

Doctor of audiology
Julia Chung is an audiologist at the UCSF Audiology Clinic. She conducts comprehensive adult hearing and balance evaluations as well as full pediatric audiologic evaluations. Chung evaluates patients' needs and goals to assist them in developing aural rehabilitation plans, which may include amplification, education, and LACE or "Listening and Communication Enhancement." She specializes in helping patients select appropriate amplification and providing comprehensive hearing aid services.
Chung completed a doctorate in audiology at Vanderbilt University, where she received the Jay W. Sanders Excellence in Audiology Award. She completed a U.S. Department of Education audiology traineeship for infants and toddlers and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
